Why to choose INDIGO in Lipno
Why your best summer memories start at INDIGO Lipno
1. It’s not just a camp — it’s two weeks of real adventure.
For two weeks, your child will stay by one of the most beautiful lakes in the Czech Republic, surrounded by the forests of the Šumava region. They’ll live in cosy cabins, spend their days outdoors and always have something to look forward to: water activities, sports, trips, games, evening events, adventures and, of course, plenty of time to hang out and make friends.
2. It’s almost impossible not to make friends here.
Living together in cabins, taking part in activities, going on trips, playing games, sitting around campfires and spending evenings together creates that special atmosphere where kids quickly stop being just cabin mates and become a team.
And INDIGO friendships often continue long after camp — through messages, video calls and even meeting up again outside the camp.
3. Because there is always something happening.
Lipno is not the kind of camp where you can spend the whole day in bed.
Cycling, SUP, kayaking, boating, rafting, water activities, walks and sports games — every day is a chance to try something new. And sometimes a child discovers that the activity they were a little nervous about at first becomes their favourite part of camp.
4. Rafting is a story of its own.
One of the most popular activities at Lipno is rafting. During the camp, the kids get to enjoy three exciting rafting trips, surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains and Rožmberk Castle. They work together, support each other and learn what it really means to be a team.
5. Languages simply become part of everyday life.
The official languages of INDIGO are English and Russian, but in reality, you’ll hear many more languages around the camp. English and Russian are used during games, activities and everyday conversations with counsellors and friends.
Language practice happens naturally — not as an extra lesson, but simply because there are people from different countries all around you.
6. Nature is part of every day.
Instead of city streets, there is a lake, forest, fresh air and plenty of space around you. You can go cycling, get out on the water, sit around a campfire, go for a walk or simply hang out and talk with friends in the evening.
And yes, sometimes the phone suddenly turns out not to be the most interesting thing to do.
7. INDIGO gives kids plenty of independence.
Living in a cabin is a little taste of real life. Keeping track of your own things. Getting along with your cabin mates. Making it to activities on time. Packing your backpack for a trip. Deciding what to do with your free time.
And knowing when to ask for help.
The counsellors are always nearby and safety rules are in place, but children are also given the space to gradually learn how to handle things on their own.
8. And most importantly — there is that unmistakable INDIGO chaos.
We have everything that needs to be there: a schedule, a programme, rules and responsible adults. But in between all of that, there is still room for spontaneous dancing, funny stories, late-evening conversations, unexpected ideas and moments that could never have been written into the programme.
That little bit of controlled chaos is often what children remember the most.
And maybe that’s exactly why children who have experienced INDIGO Lipno once often book their place again as early as September.
